“We promote the development of foreign business in Kharkiv. And we are ready to ensure a comfortable environment for foreign investors to work in our region,” vice-governor of the region Julia Svetlichnaya said during the meeting with Ambassador of Germany Johannes Regenbrecht, the KRSA press service reports (RU).
According to Julia, Germany is one of the countries that supports greatly the city on the geopolitical arena and helps to develop the region.
She assured the members of the German delegation that the KRSA is open for cooperation and ready to ensure efficiency of German projects in the region.
“I think we have an opportunity to expand our cooperation in trade and economic areas. Kharkiv has a great industrial base, and there is good potential in the agriculture field,” Johannes Regenbreht said.
Julia also promised to provide the German delegation with a list of Kharkiv’s investment offers.
She also recalled that none of the foreign investor in the past two years have not left the territory of the Kharkiv region.
“The head of the regional administration Igor Rainin met with each investor, gave security guarantees and the fact that foreign companies in the Kharkiv region will operate within the law without any interference in their business activities.”
Also during the meeting, representatives of the German delegation said that in June-July 2016 it is planned to open an office of the German society for international cooperation GIZ in Kharkiv.
