Internal audit of Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics (KNURE) which the new head of the university Eduard Rubin initiated shortly after his appointment, revealed numerous financial irregularities in the university, reported the press service (UKR) of the Ministry of Education and Science (MES).
According to MES data, the overestimation of budget subsidies amounted to 1.6 million UAH, the loss of property and financial resources – 2.3 million. Another 18 million have been spent in the course of performance of financial and business transactions without any legal grounds. Moreover, 314 thousand UAH of this amount were simply “stolen and / or directed on financing of terrorism.”
“I could not imagine that several persons in a couple of years can inflict losses in the amount of 20 million. To be more exact: 20 million – that’s what could two auditors found for three weeks of work, that laid on the surface,” wrote Rubin on his Facebook page (RU).
As a result, the audit team gave a negative assessment of the university and all the materials were transferred to the law enforcement bodies of Ukraine.
