Kharkivens offered to convert the format of school canteens: the petition titled “Make school canteens as a buffet instead of the dreary Soviet ones” was registered on the website of the City Council.
“We all remember school canteens with a limited menu and tasteless food. The developed countries adopted a buffet at the educational institutions long time ago. Pupils and students can choose the menu according to their taste, based on personal, religious or other preferences. We have the Soviet legacy which does not meet modern reality. So let’s make our children’s lives a little bit better and give them a choice of what food to eat,” was stated in the petition.
Only 39 people have already signed this petition. In order to be considered by the City Council, it must collect 5000 signatures within 90 days.
