Kharkiv health care institutions will get financial aid from the European Bank for their reconstruction.
The announcement was made by deputy chairman of the regional state administration Eugene Shahnenko.
According to him, the Kharkiv regional development department of capital construction has identified five institutions in the framework of the project “Emergency Credit Program to Restore Ukraine”, funded by the European Investment Bank.
They are :
- Regional radiation protection dispensary
- Regional clinical hospital
- Regional children’s hospital №1
- Regional TB dispensary №7
- Regional Center of Prevention and Control of AIDS
Shahnenko said the Ministry of Regional Development and the European Investment Bank consultants have already prepared the bidding documents. A committee on competitive bidding began developing individual bidding documents for selected projects.
The emergency credit recovery program covers Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Luhansk and Donetsk regions. A total of 72 projects will be implemented under the first tranche of 707 million UAH.
The Kharkiv region will receive 242 million UAH on the implementation of 21 projects: the reconstruction of hospitals, schools, and housing for IDPs.
Total funding of the joint program of Ukraine and the European Investment Bank amounts to 200 million euros.
