January 29, Kharkiv Mayor Gennady Kernes has agreed with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India in Ukraine Manoj Kumar Bharti on establishing business contacts and cultural exchange at the business meeting in Kharkiv. Indian city of Pune can become a sister city of Kharkiv. This was announced by the press service of the City Council.
“Kharkiv is actively seeking for foreign partners, and relations with India have huge potential in the field of investment, education and culture,” said Gennady Kernes during the meeting.
During his visit to Kharkiv Ambassador of India visited a university, as well as the manufacture of machinery, which for more than 40 years produces components for Indian aviation. “I saw your city under the sign of development and knowledge. The city of Pune is developing in the same direction, it is a city of young people and high-tech. I will give the Government the report on the visit to Kharkiv, and we will start work on the establishment of friendship and partnership,” said Ambassador of India in Ukraine.
