It’s difficult to find in Kharkiv a person who at least vaguely didn’t heard of choreographer Alexey Litvinov.
His participation in the popular Ukrainian TV shows “Dances with stars”, “All are dancing”, “Ukraine got talent”, “Maidan’s» as a judge and a coach made him famous all over the country. This weekend in Kharkiv will be held the I All-Ukrainian festival of choreographic art in memory of Alexey Litvinov. The ideologist and organizer of the festival is his daughter Maria.
To organize the festival helped Maria’s friend and student of Alexey Litvinov, choreographer, founder of one of the Kharkiv dance clubs, vice president of the Union of non-governmental organization of sport dance of Ukraine, president of the Kharkiv Regional Dance Sport Federation Vladimir Karachentsov. The event was conceived as a familial – to gather friends and disciples of the famous choreographer who won’t only show their skills but also share their memories of this extraordinary man. In general, the festival’s program is extensive, and the age of participants is not limited – from the youngest (3-4 years) to mature dancers.
“The program includes a competition for contemporary choreography (due to quarantine it had to be postponed from January 30 to February 13) and the competition of ballroom choreography (January 31). On January 31 at 19.00 at the Kharkiv Sports Palace will be held a gala concert. This is kind of commemoration meeting, and we invite not only fans of Alexey Litvinov’s mastership but also everyone who appreciates creativity and is not indifferent to the dance,” specified Maria Litvinova.
In the future, the organizers want to make festival annual and international. The main purpose – to demonstrate what students have learned during the year, to show professionalism and share the experience.
