January 20, the new e-procurement system started working for Kharkiv City Council. It running on the platform “E-tender”, which is part of the public procurement system “ProZorro”. The first four ads appeared on the portal. The press service of the City Council announced this recently.
Currently, the announcement for budget procurement looks like: a request for the purchase of flowers, cardboard boxes for documents and office equipment for Kharkiv City Council.
Director of the electronic platform “E-tender” Ivanna Melnik recalled: “The purpose of the project is to create a new system of interaction between the state customer of goods and services suppliers in order to avoid corruption”.
The City Council has informed that the management of the unit will monitor and analyze the implementation of the pilot project. If the project will show its effectiveness, the mechanism of e-procurement of the goods will be implemented in all the executive bodies of the city council.

Recall, October 7th, 2015 Kharkiv city council decided to take part in the pilot project, implementing electronic procedures for procurement of goods on the site “E-tender” by “ProZorro” system. The decision was adopted at a meeting of the executive committee of the Kharkiv city council. The regional administration also supported the decision to move to e-procurement.
