The choir of boys and teenagers of the Kharkiv Special Music boarding school under the direction of Alexey Koshman performed three Christmas concerts in the main concert hall of Nuremberg “Meistersinger-Halle”, reported the press service of the Culture Ministry.
The trip was held at the invitation of symphony orchestra of the Philharmonia “Nürnberger Symphoniker” and was dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of twin-city relations between Kharkiv and Nuremberg.
During the concerts the choir from Kharkiv performed the compositions together with the “Nürnberger Symphoniker” under the direction of the German conductor Vladimir Yaskorsky and also performed a solo program under the direction of Alexey Koshman. In the framework of the solo program Kharkiv choir played traditional Ukrainian and international Christmas songs and works of composers of the twentieth century. All three concerts of young performers had a great success and received positive comments in the local press.
The choir has also done a concert at the oldest Christmas market in Germany – “Christkindlesmarkt” in the central square of Nuremberg.
