The second stage of the Biathlon World Cup-2015/2016 was held on December 11th-13th in Austria. In the competition a Kharkiv athlete, Olga Abramova, won a bronze medal with the women’s relay team of Ukraine.

For the Kharkiven that medal became the first one in the season. Together with Kyiv biathlete Julia Jim, Valentina Semerenko from Sumy, and Elena Podgrushnay from Ternopil, Olga Abramova won the bronze during the last day of the competition. Ukrainians finished third in the women’s relay, just 13.1 seconds after the winners of the competition, Italian biathletes. The second place went to the team from Germany.

Unlike the first stage, where the Ukrainians won two bronze medals, at this stage they achieved only one medal, but it was of great importance for the women’s team. Moreover, the Ukrainian team went ahead of Norway and climbed to the second place in Nations Cup.

The next stage of the Biathlon World Cup will be held in Pokljuka (Slovenia) on December 17-20th.
