The International Center of Photography in Turin (Italy) opened a large retrospective exhibition of a Kharkiv photographer Boris Mikhailov. More than 5 thousand people have visited his exhibition for just a few days.
The directors of the center with the area of more than 2,000 square meters, are going to hold talk shows, researches, experiments, workshops, and educational programs dedicated to photography.
“After this exibition, which was held at the highest level, our city will become a completely new benchmark for national and international photography. Robert Capa, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Federico Patellani have already visited our city with their exibitions“, the President of Culture of Turin, Luca Cassian, commented the event.
Boris Mikhailov is a Kharkiv photographer, and an artist. He is a single Ukrainian laureate of international award “Hasselblad” (an equivalent of the Nobel Prize in photography), which he was awarded in 2000. In 2008 he was elected member of the Academy of Visual Arts in Berlin. Boris lives and works both in Berlin and Kharkiv.
