Ukrainian boxing champion Wladimir Klitschko intends to hold a rematch with Tyson Fury to whom he lost on points in a bout in Dusseldorf (Germany). He’s not going to go away from boxing.
After the fight Klitschko said in an interview that he expected a rematch. At the same time, he admited that Fury was faster, and that he has failed to find the necessary distance for the win.
“I didn’t find the needed distance. The difference in the arms length also played its role. I knew I was losing, but I could not find the key for the victory. But, of course, there will be a rematch,” he said.
His brother, the mayor of Kyiv and a former world boxing champion Vitali Klitschko, believes that Wladimir “has not done his homework”. “Wladimir will return in the ring much stronger. In this battle, he was waiting a lot, it was necessary to be more active and take risks,” he added.
The possibility of revenge is spelled out in the fight contract. Most likely, the rematch will take place in spring or in summer next year.
