The Head of Kharkiv territorial department of “Solidarnost” party, Igor Rainin, commented appointments to Kharkiv Regional Council.
“A fraction “Solidarnost” expects for a constructive work of Regional council. I am convinced that Kharkiv Regional Council is not a place for the implementation of political ambitions, but it is a body that is obliged to solve issues of social and economic development of Kharkiv region as well as problems of every single resident of the region,” Igor Rainin said.
“As for the results of the elections to Regional Council “Solidarnost” won the second place, and I believe we have the right to nominate a candidate for the post of first deputy chairman of the Regional Council. We will also propose the representatives of our political force to head four permanent committees of the Regional Council. These people are professionals, and they are ready to bear responsibility for the development direction of Kharkiv region,” he told us.
“A political party “Vidrodzhennia” gained the majority of votes, so I think it should also take responsibility for Regional Council activities of and for fulfillment of the promises given during the campaign. We encourage all the deputies to be constructive and work hard on the development of the region. Kharkiv Regional Council is not a place for politics,” Rainin stressed.
