Kharkiv tennis player Elina Svitolina left a prestigious tournament WTA Elite Trophy of $2.15M prize fund. She lost in the semi-finals to the 13th world racket, Karolina Pliskova from the Czech Republic.
From the first attempt Elina gave the serve to the rival, and after that she didn’t manage to take the set. In the second game Elina really went wrong, as a result Pliskova celebrated the victory with a score of 6:3, 6:1.
“Karolina is a great player, and you need to move really well and to move the ball around the court well. So it was not enough today. I’m really disappointed that my body let me down today. ” – Elina says, – “Is it my best season? Of course, it is. I finished this season in the top 20. I am happy. Of course there are some things that I want to change not only in my game, but also in preparation. Like today, my body was not ready to play, so I think I need to work more physically to be stronger for the whole season and of course plan the tournaments smarter.”
