The Head of Kharkiv patrol police Eugene Melnyk returns to Kyiv

The head of the Kharkiv patrol police Eugene Melnyk is dismissed and will return to Kyiv. This information was confirmed by ex-deputy of Kharkiv Regional Council, advisor of the Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) Ivan Varchenko. However, he did not specify the reasons of termination.

“Eugene Melnyk is transferred to the disposal of the head of the patrol service of Ukraine, in Kyiv,” said Varchenko.

According to the adviser of the minister, the transfer is not related to the recent scandal that concerned Melnyk. The decision to dismiss Eugene Melnyk was made by the Head of the National Police of Ukraine Hatia Dekanoidze.

Ivan Varchenko said that lieutenant Olga Yuskevich, who was the deputy of Melnyk, will take the post.

“The lieutenant Olga Yuskevich was appointed as the head of Kharkiv patrol police. She has two higher education: ecological and legal. She worked as deputy head of the patrol police of Kharkiv,” noted Varchenko.

According to the MIA, lieutenant Olga Yuskevich was appointed as the head of the Kharkiv patrol police. The order on her appointment was signed by the Head of the National Police of Ukraine Hatia Dekanoidze. At the same time, the police lieutenant Eugene Melnyk who headed Kharkiv patrol police will continue to serve on executive positions in the Kiev patrol police Office.

The information about the transfer of Eugene Melnyk was also confirmed by the director of the Communications Department of MIA Artem Shevchenko.

Recall that month ago Melnyk popped up in the scandal. He was accused of attempt to leave the restaurant “Sharikoff” drunk on the official car. Later, the policeman has denied the accusations and said that he had never been in that restaurant at all.
