November 10th, the press service of the Prosecutor of the Kharkiv region stated that today’s hearing has been postponed for the same reason as two weeks ago – the lawyer is absent. Defender is on a business trip to Kiev.
“In court, the prosecutor declared that he does not understand the position of defence, which ignores the participation in the trial for the gravest crimes that led to numerous victims,” said the press-secretary of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor Vita Dubovik.
The prosecution suggests that the defenders may just delay the process in such way.
The next meeting will be held on November 20, at 12.00.
Recall that the previous 2 meetings also failed. On October 29th the hearing did not happen as one of the lawyers of the accused did not appear in court. October 13th, the lights went off in the court building. At previous sessions, the court examined the materials of the case (demonstrative evidence), and the lawyers filed numerous petitions.
Reference. February 22nd, in Kharkiv, an explosion occurred during the march in support of the unity of the Ukraine, when the euromaidan activists column moved from the Sports Palace in the direction of the Moscow avenue. According to the experts, it was the anti-personnel mine with a radio-controlled device. In total, 4 people were killed in the explosion. Criminal proceeding was initiated under Art. 258 (act of terrorism) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
