Owners of luxury cars have already paid a transport tax of more than 40 mln hryvnias to the Kharkiv budget since the beginning of this year.
In total, 1,700 owners of cars with an engine capacity of more than 3,000 cm3 and model year of less than 5 years old had to pay this tax. Natural persons, owners of VIP cars, paid 39.5 mln in taxes. In addition, 149 legal entities independently calculated the tax for 190 cars and paid 3 mln hryvnias.
Most of the owners of such cars are registered in one of the cities central districts, Dzerzhinskiy district, where 630 owners of “luxury” class cars live.
The press service of The Central Administration of the State Fiscal Service (SFS) in Kharkiv region reported that it is expected the tax will total about 6 mln hryvnias of the tax revenue by the end of the year.
The SFS specialists encourage owners of luxury cars to pay the tax in time. In any case of non-payment within 60 days from the date of the tax notification being received there will be a fine of 10% (in case of the payment delay up to 30 calendar days) or 20% (in case of the payment delay more than 30 calendar days).
