Deputy Head of the income and fees from individuals of the Main State Fiscal Service in Kharkiv region, Irina Vasilyeva, said that since the beginning of 2015, 6 thousand citizens exercised their right to receive tax rebates. According to her, the total amount is 7 million UAH.

The prevailing tax refund category is educational expenditures. 4770 people have declared them, and this is 80% of all applicants.

Vasilyeva reminded that taxpayers who wish to use their right for a tax credit by the results of 2014, have time until December 31, 2015 to file an annual tax return and application №6 (the list of the expenditure amounts to be included in the tax rebates) to the local tax inspection.

A tax refund can also be arranged for the apartments purchase loan. However, mortgage housing must be the person’s principal residence with a corresponding stamp in the passport. To obtain a tax credit, one should have a mortgage contract and loan agreement. The payment document must contain the interest sum and the loan principal amount separately.

Deputy chief stressed out again that it is better not to wait until the final day (31 December), but provide the necessary documents in time. If all conditions are met, the tax rebates will be issued from the state budget within 60 calendar days.
