On October 9th 2015 on the official Twitter page the Ambassador of Ukraine to Finland and Republic of Iceland Andrii Olefirov informed that Iceland has ratified the agreement of simplifying visa regime for Ukraine.
He wrote: “News from Reykjavik: Iceland has ratified the agreement with Ukraine on simplifying visa requirements The agreement comes into effect by the end of this year.”
“Iceland is not the EU country, but it is part of the Schengen treaty. Therefore, this is an important signal of trust. We move ahead…” he said.
Recall, Chile borders were opened for Ukrainians from October 21st, 2015.
