Ukrainian athlete Marina Kylypko set a national record in the pole vault, reports the Federation of athletics of Ukraine (UA).
September 3, she overcame the bar at a height of 4.65 m at the international competition “Jumping on the square” in the Italian town of Trani. This result is nine inches higher than her personal record.
After formal ratification, this result was declared a new national record.
BACKGROUND: Previous best achievement, set in 2004, in the open air of 4.57 m belongs to Angela Balakhonova.
Marina Kylypko was the participant of the Olympic games in Rio de Janeiro, where she stopped a step away from reaching the final.
