The Kharkiv region took first place in Ukraine for the number of winners in the Junior Academy of Sciences, said first deputy chairman of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Yuliya Svetlichnaya.
The region’s children took 16 first places in the III stage of All-Ukrainian competition-protection research works of students-members of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
“This is the best result in Ukraine. Almost twice the Kharkiv region outperformed all other regions and even the capital. We are leaders,” said Svetlichnaya.
This year, 61 residents of the Kharkiv region took part in the National Competition. Ten students got second places and 16, third places.
