Video about migrants from Donbas wins social advertising contest

Social  movie “Everybody needs a home” was made by a creative team from Donetsk and Luhansk.

The video received two Gold Awards at UNHCR 2015 social short movie Molodiya Festival. It was reported by one of the movie creators Max Korotych on his Facebook page.

A child and his mother, who had to leave their native city, are the main characters.

Thousands of people every day are denied rental housing by their fellow citizens because of their residence. “Nobody will tell about migrants better than ourselves,” explains Max Korotych.

“Ukraine needs time to change the situation. We hope to make a small step towards understanding each other with this story. First of all, regardless of registration we all are citizens of Ukraine,” stressed the film authors.

The description of the video reminds that 1,500,000 people were left homeless as a result of military actions in the Donbass.
