“Regional program of support for the participants of the ATO for the construction and purchase of housing in Kharkiv region 2016-2018” was developed by the Department of Urban Development and Architecture of KRSA, deputy chairman of the regional administration Yevgeny Shahnenko reported (RU).

“The program is to be considered at the regular session of the Kharkiv Regional Council. We expect to get allocation for its realization,” Shahnenko said.

Now, under his leadership, a number of meetings have been held with representatives of banking institutions, State Fund for Youth Housing Assistance, regional Union of ATO veterans, State Service for Veterans, and ATO soldiers.

“As a result of this work fundamental decisions were made. In particular, all the ATO soldiers have the right to participate in the program, even though they are on the housing lists in local government bodies or not. Support will be provided for an acquisition of apartments and private houses,” said Eugene Shahnenko.

Also, the deputy head of the region emphasized that in the Kharkiv region these programs operate at the expense of regional and local budgets despite the temporary funding suspension of programs for affordable housing in the country.
