BTR-4 developers sued the Ministry of Defense

Kharkiv Morozov Machine Building Design Bureau filed a lawsuit against the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. Designers require from military establishment about 4 million UAH which the Ministry allegedly underpaid for their order – the development of modern Ukrainian BTR-4.

The Ministry of Defense ordered Kharkiv enterprise development of a new armored personnel carrier in 2007. Design Bureau executed its work. However, as stated the representatives of enterprise, the Ministry never fully paid off. The designers estimated that the Ministry of Defense owes them 3.88 million UAH.

The Ministry did not agree with the debt figure. The military claimed that their estimates are another.

According to “Glavkom” (RU), Morozov Design Bureau has managed to win the first-instance court. However, for Kharkivens it is too early to celebrate the victory. Defense Ministry has already filed an appeal after which the case was sent for retrial.

“Ladia” is able to move whether on ground or by water. Through the water BTR develops up to 10 km / h.

The armament of the BTR-4 consists of a combat module “Parus”, armed with 30-mm cannon, 30 mm automatic grenade launcher, machine gun 7.62 mm caliber and coupled installation of anti-tank guided weapons “Barrier” with a maximum range of rocket flight 5500 m.
