The IV Festival “Night of Science” will take place during the week of Germany in Ukraine.
The German side expressed support for the project and German experts and the official delegation of the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg will participate.
This was discussed today, March 11, at a meeting of the Director of International Cooperation Department Victor Rud with the Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Donetsk (with the office in Dnepropetrovsk) Wolfgang Messinger, according to the press service of the City Council.
Scientists from Germany conducted lectures in Kharkiv in 2014. Said the Head of International Cooperation Department of the City Council Olga Demyanenko, that despite the fact the lectures were in German and English, they are very popular among professors and students.
Also, the city wants to hold a competition for the best scientific research project for young scientists and students. Winners can expect excellent prizes.
BACKGROUND: “Night of Science” is traditionally held in Kharkiv in the last week of September – early October. In 2015, the festival was visited by over 18,000 people. The educational project was attended by 14 higher education institutions and the Kharkiv planetarium named after Yuri Gagarin.
