On February 11 Janush Jablonski was appointed as Consul General of Poland in Kharkiv. On February 17 in the House of Councils was held a meeting of new consul with the governor Igor Rainin and first deputy chairman of the regional council Viktor Kovalenko, informed the website of Kharkiv Regional Council.
The purpose of the meeting was acquaintance of Kharkiv representatives with the Consul General and discussion of issues for cooperation between the region and the Republic of Poland.
“We are glad to see you in the city Kharkiv. Congratulate with the beginning of work in Ukraine. We have a special relationship with Poland. We actively use the experience of Polish reforms. We are glad to see you and are ready to help in any question. We will ask you that the citizens of the Kharkiv region receive high-quality services in the framework of the legislation in the Polish Consulate in Kharkiv,” Igor Rainin welcomed Janush Jablonski.
Consul General of Poland in Kharkiv also expressed interest in further active development of relations between Kharkiv region and the Republic of Poland. Janush Jablonski said that he agreed to work in Kharkiv without hesitation. He also told about his nearly 20-year diplomatic experience with 5 years of work in Lviv.
Consul invited governor to meet with the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland. His visit to Ukraine scheduled for early March.
