Kharkiv region authorities prepare comprehensive programs of reconstruction and development of the region’s landmark objects. As the director of the department of urban development and architecture of Kharkiv Regional State Administration, the chief architect of the region, Mikhail Rabinovich reported.

According to him, firstly, it is referred to such objects as architectural ensembles in Sharovka, Lyubotin, Staryi Merchik and so on.

“Investors are always interested in these objects, but in order to it comes to concrete proposals, work that will increase its attractiveness is needed. Today we are creating a town-planning programs based on tourist complexes. In other words, in addition to reconstruction projects of architectural landmarks, we are preparing a comprehensive program of infrastructure development of the territories where they are located,” explained the chief architect of Kharkiv region.

It is almost impossible to get profit from one sight only. Worldwide these objects are subsidized facilities, as they require a lot of money for the maintenance. Related infrastructure could be more attractive for a business: hotel business, trade and entertainment facilities, for example, horseback riding.

Also, according to Rabinovich, at the moment the department is negotiating with international investment funds an allocation of funds for the preservation of cultural heritage, including the complex of the Kharkiv Philharmonic Hall and Derzhprom.
