On the Ukrainian-Russian border in 2015 in Chernihiv and Kharkiv regions were equipped anti-tank ditches, the length of which is 230 km. This is stated in the report of the Cabinet of Ministers which is published on the Official portal.
“The construction of the Ukrainian-Russian border in 2015 was held in Chernihiv and Kharkiv regions. There are equipped anti-tank ditches, the length of which is 230 km, obstructing metal fence – 72 km, frontage highway – 115 km, fitted out nine of firing positions for 10 people, five strong points, installed 32 observation towers; deployed seven new units, bought four light armored combat module on the basis of lightly armored platform “Triton”,” said in the report.
In addition, it was deployed system of electrooptial observation in Dergachi district of Kharkiv region which consists of sensory and multispectral optical subsystem and the digital-controlled cameras with infrared illumination.
“On the execution of works from the state budget were received 400 million hryvnias. The funds are implemented completely,” informed in the report.
However, military experts consider such a strengthening of borders absurd and claim that the constructed objects won’t play any role if the Russian troops attempt to violate the border.
Recall that the length of the Russian-Ukrainian state border within the territory of the Kharkiv region is 315,5 km. The outer line of the state border concerns six districts of the Kharkiv region.
