The first in Ukraine Centre of Gender Culture opened in Kharkiv

Today, January 15, the press conference devoted to the opening of the “Centre of Gender Culture” was held in the Kharkiv Crisis Information center. Tatiana Isayeva (Director of the Centre of Gender Culture and Tatiana Ivanina (Head of the Office for gender policies and budgeting (Poltava), told about the work of the center.

The purpose: to create a place in Kharkiv, where anyone, regardless of gender, age, social status, occupation and education can receive basic knowledge about gender issues, including human rights and gender-based discrimination.

The task: to bring these subjects from a narrow circle of discussion at a broader level. It is assumed that this is the place for informal discussions on the type of open spaces (coworking).

In the center experts will hold open training sessions, workshops, courses, schools. According to the organizers, the event will be free of charge. All programs are developed and approved with the support of the world’s largest funds: European Endowment for Democracy, USAID, UNDP. Coaches have European certificates.
