On Sunday, August 23rd, Kharkiv celebrates the Day of the city along with the State Flag Day. In addition to the wreath-laying ceremony, there will be several concerts, theatrical and dance performances, as well as a festival of sand animation.
10:30 – Opening of the Saint wives-myrrh-carrying Temple of Ukrainian Orthodox Church Eparchy on Sumskaya Street (behind the Mirror stream).
10:00-21:00 – a concert “Congratulations, native Kharkov” will be held in Gorky Park.
12:00-18:00 – a festival of sand animation “Map of Dreams 2015” will open in Shevchenko Park.
15:00-20:00 – theatrical performances “To you, our magical city!” will be held in the Lenin House of Culture and in the park to Kvitka-Osnovyanenko.
At 15:00 in the area of the square on Pushkin Street, near the metro station Architector Beketov, will be held an outdoor concert (Open air). Virtuosy Slobozhanshchy will perform the 10-Th best classical masterpieces from the repertoire of the orchestra.
Several concerts will also launch in Shevschenko and Artem parks during the day.
Recall that on August 24th Kharkiv will celebrate the Independence Day of Ukraine and the feast dedicated to the Birthday of Gorky Park.
