XII International traveling Documentary Film Festival on Human Rights “Docudays UA” passed through the region. Chairman of the “Center for Legal and Political Research “DUMA” Yuri Chumak has provided this information in the press center of the news agency “Status Quo”.
He believes that an honest documentary about human rights is the best tool for effective legal education of the population.
Yuri Chumak stated that 30 documentary films were presented at the fest. The festival traditionally consisted of competition and non-competition programs. Competition programs were divided into three groups – DOCU/LIFE, DOCU/RIGHT, DOCU/SHORT. Each of them was judged by a separate jury. Additionally, student juries and viewers also voted for their favorite films.

A new feature of the festival were the screenings for volunteers and internally displaced persons on the basis of public organizations “Station Kharkiv”, “Ukrainian borders”, “Chuguev’s Human Rights Group”, as well as for children in the town of “Otradnoe” on the basis of the charity fund “Social assistance service”.
