Press service of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration reported that the deputies of the regional council has allocated 200 thousand UAH to hold Christmas and New Year parties for children of ATO soldiers.
No additional funds are allocated from the regional budget for these purposes. “We are talking about the redistribution of 2 million UAH, that was dedicated for the implementation of social support programs for the members of ATO. These funds were arranged to organize the rest in the resort area for 600 soldiers, but not all of them applied for it”. The Department of Social Protection of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration explained that the deputies assigned the unused funds (about 200 thousand UAH) to hold New Year and Christmas holidays for children of the ATO participants.
The corresponding change was made in a comprehensive program of social support for ATO soldiers for the 2015-2016 years. Celebrations will be held for about 1,000 children (under 14) from all parts of the region.
