On September 29th, the Chairman of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Igor Rainin, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Argentine Republic in Ukraine, Lila Roldan Vazquez de Muan discussed mutual interest in the development of cooperation between Kharkiv region and the Argentine Republic, informs the press service of Kharkiv Regional State Administration.
According to Igor Rainin, first of all, Kharkiv is interested in this cooperation from an economic point of view. “Of course, agriculture is the number one area of cooperation. Argentina and Ukraine surely have areas of common interest, ” said the Chairman.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Argentine Republic in Ukraine noticed that Ukraine and Argentina are the countries with great agricultural potential. Ukraine, in particular the Kharkiv region, has plentiful land, and Argentina has excellent agricultural machinery and technologies used in the tillage.
Lila Roldan Vazquez de Muan also noticed that Argentina is interested in cooperation with Kharkiv region in the sphere of grain production. Furthermore, the ambassador offered to present to our agrarians modern agricultural technologies, developed in Argentina.
Igor Rainin turned attention to the industrial products produced in the enterprises of Kharkiv, as it may interest the Argentine Republic. According to the governor, Argentine industry is not fully aware of the potential and possibilities of Kharkiv. Along with this the cost of products manufactured in the Kharkiv region, is much lower than in Europe.
