Professor of the Department of Theoretical Nuclear Physics and Higher Mathematics of Karain Kharkiv National University Yuri Berezhnoy received The Sinelnikov Prize of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The university’s press service reported (RU).
The prize was awarded for a series of papers “Theory of Diffraction of nuclear processes” to the creative team that includes Yuri Berezhnoy’s students, graduates of the Faculty of Physics and Technology (Institute for Nuclear Research of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine) and Vladimir Pilipenko (National Science Center “Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology “).
BACKGROUND: Kirill Sinelnikov (1901–1966) was a Russian nuclear physicist of world renown, considered the greatest organizer of science the USSR has ever had. The Sinelnikov Prize for outstanding works in the field of physics is named after him.
