The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMC) has detected that the limited liability company “New Systems AM” (through which DCH company manages the international airport “Kharkiv”) by 400% overstates the cost of parking services in the parkings near the airport.
The decision to impose a fine was accepted on December 24, 2015, but the AMC has placed the information about it only on Monday, January 11, 2016.
LLC “New Systems AM” has a monopoly position in the relevant market.
For violation of legislation on economic competition protection board has imposed on “New Systems AM” a fine of 2.379 million UAH and required to establish economically justified cost of parking services.
According to the website of the Kharkiv airport, the parking costs:
- first 15 min – free
- up to 5 h – 15 UAH/h
- up to 3 days – 80 UAH/24h
- above 3 days – 300 UAH/week
