During the press conference, the head of the patrol police of Kharkiv Olga Yuskevich said that the system “The police care” appeared in the city. The system is designed to help citizens who find themselves in a difficult situation.
“This system can benefit people with disabilities, or those who find themselves in a difficult situation (the state of intoxication, runaway children, etc.). Depending on the situation, the police will bring up people home,” explained Yuskevich.
She added that at the meeting there was made a decision to withdraw foot patrols on the streets of the city. During the Christmas holidays the police will work in emergency mode.
According to the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kharkiv region, at New Year’s Eve 40 rallies are planned in the region. Approximately 200 thousand people will take part in New Year’s events, so more than 1.000 law enforcement officers will ensure the order in the Kharkiv city.
