Ukrainian Computer Academy “STEP” announced the opening of a branch in Seattle. “STEP” will be the first Ukrainian institution with its office in the USA. The branch will be located next to the headquarters of Microsoft, Google, Amazon and Expedia.

“STEP” will start to work in the USA in February 2016 and classes will be started approximately in summer 2016. “Now we execute all the documents and do repairs in the office. It will take about two months. Then three months for the students’ admission,” explained the press service of the Academy.

This isn’t the first foreign branch of the “STEP” (the Academy has 35 branches in 14 countries) but the first in the USA.

7890“Seattle seems to me an ideal city to start a business in America. It’s a city of IT people. Here are concentrated the headquarters of world leaders in the industry: Microsoft, Oracle, Expedia, Google, Amazon,” said CEO of the Academy Dmitry Korchevskiy.

The branch of “Step” in the USA will have three faculties like in other countries: networking and system administration, computer graphics and design, software development.

Also in the USA will open a small computer Academy for children from 9 to 14 years. Local teachers will give lectures on English.

To get the accreditation and registration of educational institution in the USA is easier than in Ukraine. “You don’t need to pass hundreds of tests by sanitation center, firefighters and protection of labor. The teachers aren’t forced to upgrade qualifications at a local institute of improvement of professional skills. There’s everything so simple. The market will determine how useful your services,” said Korchevskiy.

To compete with local colleges Academy plans with a price: a preliminary cost of education in Seattle will be in the range of $ 350-750 per month depending on the form of education. “We can provide a competitive price by minimizing costs considering that the back-office is in Ukraine,” explained Dmitry Korchevskiy.
