The rector of Kharkiv Law University could pass a lustration test

The current rector of Yaroslaw Mudryi National Law University, Vasily Tatsiy, could pass a lustration test as he was a member of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union in 1990-1991 years, as “SQ” news portal reports.

The ex-candidate for the post of the rector of Yaroslaw Mudryi National Law University, Vladimir Bogutskiy, filed a claim to the District Administrative Court of Kyiv against the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine to invalidate the order concerning Vasily’s appointing.

The hearing is scheduled for December 15th.

On October 20th Vasily Tatsiy was elected the rector of the university. According to the protocol of the election commission, Tatsiy received 765 votes, thus gaining 84.07%. His rival, Vladimir Bogucki, got 56 votes and 6.15%. On October 26th the Minister of Education and Science appointed Tatsiy to be a rector.
