The state concern “Ukroboronprom” signed memorandums of partnership and cooperation with five major universities of Kharkiv. Now Kharkiv students will be able to participate directly in the development of the defense capacity of Ukraine.
According to the press service of the state concern, the representatives of “Ukroboronprom” and the Ministry of Education and Science signed the relevant documents with the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”, V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Kharkiv Aviation Institute, Kharkiv National University of Radioelectronics and Kozhedub Kharkiv Air Force University.
“The defense industry expects from Kharkiv research institutes and universities not only scientific researches but also qualified professionals who will be able to bring these developments to life,” said the deputy general director for production and aircraft construction of “Ukroboronprom” Yuriy Pashchenko.
“Ukroboronprom” and Kharkiv universities will cooperate in the matter of staff training for the enterprises of the defense industry. The concern management will arrange meetings with students, familiarize them with the situation and prospects of the defense industry development. The students will work on probation, conduct practical trainings and realize their ideas. And plant specialists will be involved in specification of topics of students’ projects and dissertations. Later university graduates will have advantages in employment on the defense enterprises.
Reference. “Ukroboronprom” is the largest Ukrainian state concern which incorporates enterprises on development, manufacture, realization, repair, modernization and disposal of weapons, military and special equipment and ammunition. On the site lists of the concern there are more than 130 companies that are part of it. But some of them are situated on the temporarily occupied territories of the Crimea and Donbas.
“Ukroboronprom” has already cooperated with the National Technical University of Ukraine “Kiev Polytechnic Institute” with the help of which new drones were created for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
