The Security Service of Ukraine exposed the scheme of budgetary funds forgery by the officials of the state corporation in Kharkiv. The officials earned 10 million hryven’ on doubtful repair of armored vehicles as informed by the press service of the SSU.
The people responsible for the remodeling of armored vehicles installed components exported from the area of the ATO instead of buying new parts. In particular, this concerns the components removed from battle-scarred armored vehicles. According to the documents, these replacement parts were formalized as new. The funds for the purchase were charged off and misappropriated through converting centers. The Security Service of Ukraine counted up that Kharkiv officials “repaired” armored vehicles for ₴10 million in such ways.
Military Prosecutor’s Office opened criminal proceedings under the Article 191 “The appropriation and embezzlement”, Article 366 “Forgery” and Article 209 “Legalization of proceeds obtained by Crime” of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
