From the 7th until the 31st of October XV Days of Greek culture will be held in Kharkiv. The program includes concerts, exhibitions, literary evenings and other events.
The organizer is the urban society of the Greeks “Helios” with the support of the Department on work with citizens’ associations of Kharkiv City Council, Department of Mass Communications of the Kharkiv regional state administration and other organizations.
The opening will take place on October 7th in the House of Organ and Chamber Music (Universitetskaya str., 11, the beginning – at 18:30). There will be a concert with performances by artists of the Kharkiv regional philharmonic society.
The program will include musical works from the repertoire of the great Greek singer Maria Callas, the legendary Greek composer Mikis Theodorakis, and other Greek musicians.
Information: Kharkiv city society of Greeks “Helios” was established on October 19th, 1989 and is a regional association of ethnic Greeks. Currently more than 600 people (including family members) are registered in the union. This is one of the largest Greek societies of Ukraine outside the places of compact residence of the Greeks.
