The exhibition “ATO and Kharkiv” opened at the Historical Museum of Kharkov on September 2nd. The exhibition represents the liberation process of Donbass by the military forces of the region. The exhibits are arranged in chronological order, starting with the euromaidan prerequisites and ending with recent events in the ATO area.

Some objects from the fight locations is also represented: the body from the rockets “Grad”, multiple launch rocket system “Smerch” – RSZO9K58, and all kinds of shells and large-caliber ammunition. The second stand shows photographs of victims of Kharkiv and Kharkiv natives, who, according to official data of the Kharkiv regional military commissariat, are more than 60 years old.

Also, you can see the unique battle flags with signatures of fighters from ATO. You should pay special attention to the 5-meter flag. The flag was at Kharkiv actions as well as under fire at the front. It even got its own name – “Kryhitka” (“The baby”). About 800 members of the Kharkiv Chamber and ATO participants added their signatures to the 5 m length flag.

According to the museum staff, volunteers were the main suppliers of military artifacts.
