Kharkiv lost the battle for the Eurovision-2017

Kharkiv has been eliminated in its bid to host next year’s Eurovision Song Contest.

The final three are: Kyiv, Odessa and Dnipro.

A decision was taken by the Cabinet of Ministers and the Organizing Committee. Inspections on the finalist cities and their infrastructures will be conducted, with a  final decision on the host city expected before August 1.

BACKGROUND: Kharkiv made a promotional video (UA) dedicated to the Eurovision-2017. The first deputy mayor Igor Terekhov earlier said that Kharkiv can spend 300 million UAH on holding the song Contest.
