Kharkiv set a streetlight record

In Kharkiv, this year a record number of street lamps was set, 7,350 streetlights were established in the region, as a director of the Department of Public Utilities, Victor Kitanin, reported.

According to him, the lighting system has never been built at this rates in the city. In Kharkiv, the territory of 80 kindergartens, and of 106 schools became lightened, and 181.5 km of new lines of electric systems were installed.

This work will continue in the future, and the authorities are going to improve in 2016  the lighting in areas with low-rise buildings, as the press service of the Kharkiv City Council reported.
