In June during a bilateral meeting in Paris, Petro Poroshenko and Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, discussed the simplification of visa regime for Ukrainians.
Today, as the result of the meeting, Canada began to introduce the issuance of multiple-entry visas valid for 10 years for citizens of Ukraine, as the Ambassador of Canada to Ukraine, Roman Vashchuk, stated.
“We are already introducing these multiple-entry visas for 10 years. We also try to increase the proportion of those people who receive these long-term visas for a period of validity of the passport,” Vashchuk said.
He also noticed that if an Ukrainian passport is valid for 10 years – it is possible to obtain a visa for this period. “If the passport is valid for five years, you can get a visa for five years” he added.
