Journalists and the Red Cross signed a memorandum in Kharkiv

On October 27, Kharkiv regional organization of the National Union of Journalists and Kharkiv regional organization of Ukrainian Red Cross Society signed a memorandum on cooperation in the press center of the information agency “Status Quo”.

Chairman of the Kharkiv regional organization of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine Konstantin Bashkirov said: “For us the journalists support is important, as they will unveil the details about our work: how we help in the Kharkiv region. In the last two years we have helped thousands of people, we have also conducted trainings on providing first aid to injured”.

Regional organization initiates its own project – the creation of an information resource “red over a white”. The project will provide news about the health and social care, emergency, on youth initiatives and others. “Print edition is the first stage. The second step involves creating of an Internet portal, as informing of the public influences the number of our partners”, – said Bashkirov.

Alexander Golub, who is the chairman of Journalists National Union of Kharkiv regional organization board said that right now, in times of hostilities and instability in Ukraine, people more than ever require help of the Red Cross and international organizations.
