Ukraine’s Elina Svitolina has beaten ladies no. 1 player – American Serena Williams – in the third round atthe Olympics.
Svitolina won through to the quarterfinals with a 6-4, 6-3 victory.
She competently played in the first and second sets, skillfully seizing on Williams’ numerous errors.
