Traffic jams on Russian border

Passenger traffic across the border has increased by five times during the Easter and May holidays, the press service of the Kharkiv border detachment reports (RU).

Traffic jams are being experienced at the entrance to Ukraine at checkpoints “Pletenevka” and “Chugunovka”. Meanwhile, the State Border Service has simplified crossing at the Russian border for residents of border villages and towns.

Crossing the local border checkpoints of Oleksandrivka, Zhuravlevka and Strelechya on foot will be simplified for May 1-3 and May 8-10.

Eight additional border crossings from 8.00 till 20:00 were opened: at the Kharkiv, Velikoburluk, Dvurechyansk, Zolochiv and Volchansky districts.

Bring your Ukrainian passport, birth certificate, paperwork for traveling abroad and a child travel document, if applicable.
