Kharkiv took the second place by comfortable staying in Ukraine, according to the results of a survey conducted by the sociological group “Rating” among residents of 24 cities in the country.
According to the survey, the most comfortable city in Ukraine is Vinnitsa. The top five also includes Lviv, Lutsk and Khmelnitsky. Zaporozhye, Odessa, Kherson and Mykolaiv closed the rating.
Quality assessment index of services and facilities in the city was 3.2. Kharkivens were given the cities of assessment on 22 criteria, among which – garbage collection, sewage, transport infrastructure, street lighting, roads, etc.
BACKGROUND. A sociological study Ukrainian Municipal Survey was conducted by a sociological group Rating on behalf of the International Republican Institute (Canada) from January 20 till February 8, 2016 by an order of the Government of Canada.
It was conducted in 22 regional centers of Ukraine not under the control of Russian or Russian-backed forces, but also in Mariupol and Sievierodonetsk in the Donbas region. More than 19,000 respondents (800 in each city)took part in the poll.
