Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics (KNURE) is to link up with a famous German firm.
It has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the German company Festo, as well as industrial enterprises of Kharkiv: Ukraine Philip Morris and “FED” plant, according to the press service of KNURE.
The objectives of the memorandum are to consolidate efforts for the development and implementation of advanced learning technologies and equipment.
Agreement on cooperation gives students a number of new features, including the right to take part in the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad on programming of mobile robots.
Festo donated university educational robot Robotino to prepare students for the Olympics and a number of research projects.
In addition, the presence of robots will allow Ukraine to participate in the international competition WorldSkills, RoboCup.
The participants believe this memorandum is another step towards enhancing cooperation and creating a powerful platform for the training of qualified specialists to international level.
